Welcome to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Our Flotilla, 06-06 based in Tarrytown, NY in First District Southern Region, overlooks the Hudson River. One of the countries largest infrastructure projects has recently been completed within a stones throw of our Flotilla. Our Operational Facilities are within seconds of New NY Bridge Project. The removal of the original bridge known to us as the Tappan Zee Bridge spans across the largest part of the Hudson River between Tarrytown and Nyack, the connection point between Westchester and Rockland County. The new bridge was named the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge,  the late father our current sitting Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Our Flotilla conducted safety patrols around the Regulated Navigation Area with efforts to try and enhanced the knowledge of the recreational boating community in safe transit through this construction zone.

Furthermore, our mission of the Auxiliary is the augment the U.S. Coast Guard Recreation Boating Safety Mission as well as assist their efforts with the security of the ports and waterways.

Although not directly involved with military or law enforcement our members do provide many hours in direct support of other missions of the Coast Guard that include Vessel Safety Inspections, Public Education, Communications, Search and Rescue and Marine Environmental Protection.

Being awarded Division Flotilla of Year 2017-2019 and District Flotilla of the Year in 2018, our members remain committed to the US Coast Guard core values of Honor, Respect and Devotion to Duty!
