Members can become qualified as a Vessel Examiner. This qualification allows them to conduct free, courtesy vessel safety checks on recreational vessels from kayaks to 65 foot yachts. This is an important mission in supporting the active duty Coast Guard. Ensuring recreational vessels meet, or exceed, safety requirements can save lives.
