Auxiliary Flotilla 11-2, Woods Hole, is a sub-unit of Division 11, Cape and Islands, of the Coast Guard’s First District, Northern Region.  Our area of responsibility (AOR) extends from Woods Hole and its adjacent coastline in Falmouth on Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound and Nantucket Sound.  Included are the waters westward to the Elizabeth Islands, eastward to Hyannis and across the Sound to the western portion of Martha’s Vineyard.  This is one of the most scenic areas in the country and its many harbors and waterways are heavily used year-round by commercial and recreational vessels.

We augment Coast Guard active duty personnel at the CG Small Boat Station in Woods Hole , as well as at CG Air Station Cape Cod located on Otis Air National Guard Base in Sandwich.  Our members receive comprehensive training that qualifies them to assist the Coast Guard in almost every mission area on the water and in  the air.
