District 9WR and USCG Sector Lake Michigan is responsible for: permitting for over 1000 Bridges, operation of Lighthouses, long range aids to navigation (LORAN-decommissioned), 1800 short-range marine aids to navigation (ATONs,) and permitting of over 1000 Private Aids to Navigation (PATONs).

Did you see a person or vessel exhibiting suspicious behavior in, around or under a bridge, military base or other security zone, ferry, or an industrial facility that provides power, water, gas or oil?
- Report suspicious activity:
For immediate danger to life or property, call 911, or call the U. S. Coast Guard on Marine Channel 16.
