Flotilla Commander
Charles R Manley IV

Charles Manley is serving his second term as Flotilla Commander for the San Antonio unit. Charles Manley has lived in San Antonio for most of his life, with the exception of living in Massachusetts for 2 1/2 years and Austin for 3. Currently he is living out in Bandera, TX, about a mile off of the northern inlets of Medina Lake.
Charles's primary focus in the Coast Guard Auxiliary is administrative duties, such as Information Systems, Student Records, and Public Education. He has served as the information systems officer in some manner since 2021, with his latest staff office as the Division IS officer since 2023. Charles has also been the National Staff officer for Student Records in the Auxiliary University Program (AUP) since August 2024. He also has been an Auxiliary Instructor since May 2023 and has taught several Boating Courses for the Texas Parks and Wildlife service.
His main goal is to continue to grow the San Antonio unit. His goals stretch to the recruitment of new members into the Auxiliary, assisting the Active Duty Coast Guard with their duties, working with the community to build boating safety and marine protection awareness, and to build fellowship with other units in the South Texas Division.
Vice Flotilla Commander
Robert (Bob) Puharic

Bob Puharic has spent the last 8 years serving in the San Antonio community and along the South Texas coastline. Bob started his Auxiliary career in the Allentown flotilla then transferred to Lake Ray Hubbard and Lansdale before becoming part of the San Antonio unit.
Bob's primary focus in the Coast Guard Auxiliary is Communications and Emergency Management. He has served in several different operations with the Active Duty operations and is currently working on building the Telecommunications Operation (TCO) aspect of the South Texas division. Bob Puharic has been an Amateur Radio Operator for over 25 years and brings that expertise to the Auxiliary.
Bob has numerous certifications with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, including once serving as Boat Crew and currently serving as a Watchstander at a coastal station and serving as a qualified TCO instructor for the South Texas division.

Thomas Duryea

Thomas Duryea transferred to the San Antonio flotilla in February of 2023. Thomas Duryea served as the VFC for the San Antonio unit until August 2024 when FC Joe Littlefield resigned and he became acting FC for the remainder of the year. Thomas Duryea transferred to San Antonio from the Central Las Vegas unit.
Thomas Duryea's primary focus is in the Coast Guard Auxiliary is in the Culinary Arts. He has served in several stations and aboard several different coast guard vessels as a Culinary Assistant. He has trained several members of both the Auxiliary and the Active Duty on how to be a Culinary Assistant (CA). He is currently serving as the Division Culinary Assistant officer (SO-CA) and is also our Flotilla Information Systems officer (FSO-IS).
Thomas Duryea is also a qualified Auxiliary instructor and has taught several Boat Licensing exams in the San Antonio area.
