U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 114-07 conducted its annual Change of Watch on March 5, 2023 at the Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club, Channel Islands Harbor, Oxnard CA. 50 people attended the awards brunch while overlooking the beautiful harbor from their elegant banquet room. Guests dined on Tri-tip, Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, bagels, and breakfast pastries. The ice cream and dessert bar were of course a huge treat! The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Auxiliary Vice Division Commander Patrick Newburn, and the invocation was presented by Auxiliary Flotilla Commander (114-07-07) David Vadbunker. Tribute and moment of silence for the recent passing of Commodore Charlie Geiger, was presented by Auxiliarist Norm Bundek. Following the brunch, awards were presented which featured USCG Unit Commendations and several Auxiliary Division awards. Flotilla Commanders and staff officers were presented with Certificates of Appreciation. The featured guest speakers were USCG CMDR Stephen Bor from USCG Sector Los Angeles/ Long Beach, and USCG MCPO Ian Eady from Coast Guard Station Channel Islands Harbor. Also attending was Auxiliary District CAPT 114-North Rudy Cortez. The master of ceremonies was Auxiliary Division Commander Robert Hamming.
