Business Partner Outreach

The Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program (RBSVP)

About the Program

The purpose of the Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program (RBSVP) is to promote safe boating through the aid of local businesses (Partners).  Nationwide, the Coast Guard Auxiliary has tens of thousands of partners.

Examples of a business “partners” include but are not limited to:

  • Marine dealerships/repair facilities
  • Sporting goods stores
  • Bait shops
  • Boat rental outfits
  • Medical offices and facilities
  • Insurance agencies
  • Professional offices
  • Restaurants/fast food establishments
  • Hotels/motels

Key to our partner outreach program is the trained Auxiliarist (Program Visitor) who visits you on a regular basis to restock our boating safety literature display, or to discuss upcoming special events with you.  Our Program Visitor is your friend in the Auxiliary and a bridge to the United States Coast Guard.

You can help by giving us a small space in your business to display the boating safety literature and flyers.  We also provide a distinctive and compact tabletop holder to display this information--all at no cost to you.  Examples of literature that we provide include:

  • Federal and State boating safety brochures,
  • How to choose the right lifejacket brochures,
  • Our current Boating Safety Class schedule,
  • and other boating safety related literature on a seasonal basis.

How to Become a Partner

If you would like to participate as a boating safety partner, simply visit the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's Join the Program webpage on the National website and provide your business’s contact information (there is no cost or obligation) to get you setup with the latest Federal and State boating safety brochures, booklets, and handouts for your clientele.
