ALAUX 003/20 - NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) - AUXILIARY AWARENESS

Wed, 18 Mar 20   Posted by: Thornton Dyson

The actual memo is too long to directly post on this site but is located <here>. Everyone is encouraged to read it in its entirety.

Ted Dyson’s summary

1) Background. Not much new here. But there are a couple of web links that I have put in the link compendium.

2) Guidance.
  1. Work with your OIA to assure the risk vs gain is appropriate before undertaking ANY assignment. Use proper risk management techniques prior to and during any activities
  2. Our OIA is the best source for guidance regarding assignment to duty. Follow their guidance
  3. Do NOT contact DIRAUX directly. Use your chain of leadership and management (COLM)
  4. If an incident management team is stood up, make your COLM aware of your availability.
  5. Follow CDC recommendations and personal Health provider guidance for preventing exposure and actions if exposed and/or sick.
  6. Foreign Travel; In a word: DON’T. If you absolutely have to and then follow CDC and Department of State and USCG processes for leaving and returning
