Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 070-12-04 - Central Grand Strand,
based in Surfside Beach, SC, is comprised of an area that covers the
inland rivers and coastal waters of approximately the middle section of
South Carolina's Grand Strand. The Grand Strand refers to a
large stretch of beaches extending 60+ miles along an essentially
uninterrupted arc of
beach land, beginning around the Little River and terminating at Winyah
Bay. The rectangular box on the map below represents the Flotilla's Area
of Responsibility (AOR).
