USCG Auxiliary supports boaters operating around the northern end of Bogue Banks. We also support operations at USCG Station Ft. Macon. This Flotilla attracts its members from the MHC, Beaufort, & adjacent areas.

Your U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary offers you these opportunities:  

Flotilla 054-20-02 Logo
• Fellowship, new friendships, helping others, and working with teams
• Learn and/or instruct Certified Boating Safety classes for the public
• Advanced Auxiliary training in boating skills leading to becoming Crew and Coxswain
• Become a food service specialist and work at Coast Guard Station Ft. Macon or on the Coast Guard Cutters at the Station
• Assist the Coast Guard in the AUXAIR program as an aircraft pilot, crew or observer.  (No experience required for Observer)
• Learn radio communications training and perform communications at USCG station Ft. Macon
• Become a Certified Vessel Safety Examiner
• Be involved in joint training with the U.S. Coast Guard
• Put your skills as an event planner to work on our public events
• Put your writing skills to work in marketing, promotions, advertising, communications, and publications
• Interact with local marine stores and marinas to promote boating safety
• Many other opportunities in human resources, finance, marine safety and the environment, navigation services, public affairs, materials, website development, and more.
