USCG Auxiliary supports boaters operating around the northern end of Bogue Banks. We also support operations at USCG Station Ft. Macon. This Flotilla attracts its members from the MHC, Beaufort, and adjacent areas.

Your U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary offers you these opportunities:  

Flotilla 054-20-02 Logo
• Fellowship, new friendships, helping others, and working with teams
• Learn and/or instruct Certified Boating Safety classes for the public
• Advanced Auxiliary training in boating skills leading to becoming Crew and Coxswain
• Become a culinary specialist and work at USCG Station Ft. Macon or on the CG Cutters at the Station
• Assist the Coast Guard in the AUXAIR program as an aircraft pilot, crew or observer.  (No experience required for Observer)
• Learn radio communications training and perform communications at USCG station Ft. Macon
• Become a Certified Vessel Safety Examiner
• Be involved in joint training with the USCG
• Put your skills as an event planner to work on our public events
• Put your writing skills to work in marketing, promotions, advertising, communications, and publications
• Interact with local marine stores and marinas to promote boating safety
• Many other opportunities in human resources, finance, marine safety and the environment, navigation services, public affairs, materials, website development, and more.
