Safe Boating Week 2025
Flotilla 12-09 had a very productive 2025 NSBW
The accomplishments included:
- Public Affairs - Radio interview advocating the CGAUX on WJKI 103.5 FM “The Vault”. One Auxiliary Member participated.
- Display Tables - tables were set up and manned at West Marine in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Shorts Marine in Long Neck, DE. Six Auxiliary Members manned the tables.
- Vessel Exams - 120 Exams were given during the period with 108 passing. 58 exams were first time. 83.25 Total Hours. Thirteen different Auxiliary Members participated.
- Boating Safety Classes - One event was given at Angola By The Bay. 9 Students Passed the Test. 25.89 Total Hours. Five Auxiliary Members participated.
- Atons - None were checked during the period. 23.5 Total Hours were dedicated to training. Three Auxiliary Members participated.
- Program Visitors - 39 Program Visits given. 18.5 Total Hours. Seven Auxiliary Members participated.
- CG Support - 10 Total Hours. One member participated.
- Total Auxiliary Hours during the period was 352.89 Total Hours. Nineteen Auxiliary Members participated.
Events Supporting National Safe Boating Week

Boater Safety Course held at Pots Net Community Center.

Roy Steiner, Mgr West Marine Rehoboth Beach, Barry Weissman, Michael Golden, Ron Latini and Roy Zimmerman set up a publish visit display at West marina in Long Neck.
There were 47 Vessel Safety Checks completed at 4 different locations on the first weekend.
