Air Station Cape Cod Video
A few of our Flotilla officers are members of the Auxiliary Air (Auxair) Program and travel to Air Station Cape Cod monthly to check equipment. They fly in fixed wing Auxiliary owned aircraft when on patrol. They fly missions to free up the air station to concentrate on search and rescue and other critical activities and supplement the aircraft availability in the District. Our missions include ice patrols, spill identification, video acquisition of the coastline to help track changes and erosion, and maritime security and surveillance. As well as any emergency situations that come up while on patrol. The First District Auxair division currently operate 9 aircraft covering all of New England and the NY/NJ area and surrounding Atlantic Ocean.
