Uniforms
Uniform Division of the Human Resources Directorate
The most commonly worn uniforms in Flotilla 18-6 are the Tropical Blue and the Operational Dress Uniforms. Those two uniforms should be your starting point.
Ordering Uniforms
- Uniform Distribution Center
- Uniforms may be ordered through email, by mail, or over the phone.
- Every non-Auxillary specific uniform part is available
- You will need your Auxiliary Member Number to purchase items
- Coast Guard Auxiliary Association
- Stocks Auxiliary specific items like name tags, buttons, devices, shoulder boards, and ribbons.

- ODU sleeves may be worn up or down, based on individual preference unless a greater need for uniformity is required
- Fitted ball caps allowed
- Eyewear retainers may be worn unless a greater need for uniformity is required. Retainers shall be either plain black or dark blue, and may be worn loose or tightly fitted to the head. The hanging of eyewear loosely around the neck for short periods of time is authorized; eyewear shall not be worn on the top or back of the head or cover when not in use.
- CG Auxiliary uniform policy is revised to remove the Full Dress White Uniform as an authorized uniform for USCG Auxiliary members
Authorize the wear of unit t-shirts and crew neck sweatshirts - US COAST GUARD no longer needs to be embroidered or printed on ODU t-shirts. May be worn until no longer serviceable.
- ODU trousers no longer need to be embroidered. May be worn until no longer serviceable.
- Women may wear a hair claw
- Women may have a 3-inch bun.
- Women may have larger braids, cornrows, locks, and twists
