The Commandant is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction to ensure all policies and procedures contained in Section D of Chapter Seven, of the Auxiliary Manual, are in effect throughout the Coast Guard and Auxiliary.
The Chief Director is responsible for Coast Guard civil rights and equal opportunity program administration within the Auxiliary.
The District Commander is responsible for carrying out the spirit and intent of the Coast Guard’s civil rights and equal opportunity programs.
Elected and appointed leaders' responsibility:
- District Commodore - is responsible for all Auxiliary members of Ninth Eastern Region.
- Division Commander - is responsible for all Auxiliary members of his or her Division.
- Flotilla Commander - is responsible for all Auxiliary Members of his or her Flotilla.4.
- All appointed Staff Officers - are also responsible to see that no member’s civil rights are violated.
