An all day training event hosted by DCAPT Mike Raffel & DCAPT Bennett Jim Dry is full of new and exciting classes for all members to enjoy. This is a great opportunity to network and meet new members, learn something new, and enjoy some fellowship.

 

2024 Courses Include:

  • AUX Career Development - Build your AUX career, learn about the different routes and opportunities you can take as a member. 
    • New Boat Crew Standards - Review the new updates to the Boat Crew handbook & PQS.

    • AUXDATA Reports - Learn how to create & run reports in auxdata, add filters and target the information you want.

    • 2024 Ops workshop - National Annual workshop, required for all crew and coxswains.

    • 2024 VE workshop - National Annual Workshop, required for all current and future vessel examiners.

    • Program Visitor Workshop - National workshop to serve as a refresher for certified members and the building the foundation for those looking to get qualified.

    • Customs, Courtesies & Protocols: important part of how we interact with each other and the active duty, honor our service and all those who have served. This session is appropriate for all members not familiar with our customs and our important traditions.

    • Conflict Resolution -  This class is targeted for leaders to help develop strategies for avoiding and when necessary mitigating conflicts through a well though through resolution strategy.

    • Navigating Auxiliary Websites - Learn how to navigate and log into Flotilla, Division & District Website, AUXOFFICER, Aux Classroom, Auxdata, National Testing Center and more.

    • Introduction to Tele-Communications - introduction course covering the basics of auxiliary TeleCommunications.
       
    • AUX Ceremonial Honor Guard - Following the release of the new PQS learn how to become a member of the Auxiliary Ceremonial Honor Guard whose motto is pride, poise, and perfection.

    • Uniform Excellence - Wear your uniform with pride, learn about every uniform the Auxiliary can wear and the standards for each one.

    • Intro to Navigation & Chart Plotting -  introductory presentation of the basics of charts, tools, and plotting.

    • Finance & Material Reporting (7025) -  This class will focus on the successful completion of the annual end of the year finance and materials 7025 reporting form.

  • TCT/RM Refresher - Annual refresher for crew & comms
  • Response Tabletop Exercise: Coordinating aviation, surface, comms, and emergency management during severe weather incidents. This will be an accountability exercise.
