 PUBLIC AFFAIRS

The Coast Guard values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty have motivated generations of Team Coast Guard to serve our nation.

In Public Affairs, we consider it our responsibility and privilege to honor that service by communicating to everyone the
proud traditions and worthy missions of the United States Coast Guard and United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

We are proud to share with you some of our flotilla’s activities that speak of an engaging present and a promising future.

  • Free Vessel Safety Checks for boats, personal watercraft, and paddle craft to ensure safety on the water.
  • Distributing educational materials for the public regarding boating safety and waterway awareness.
  • Teaching boating safety education classes for the public to ensure safe practices on the water.
  • Participating in and promoting National Safe Boating Week.
  • Participating in area regattas by staffing Coast Guard Auxiliary information stations and providing safety patrols on the water as appropriate.
  • Participating in local parades and ceremonies honoring national holidays.
  • Holding the time-honored tradition of the blessing of the fleet.
  • Maintaining a consistent presence on social media to share the activities that demonstrate our execution of the mission.
  • Developing and sustaining relationships with local news outlets in order to share our Coast Guard Auxiliary story.
Proud Traditions, Worthy Missions, and we are still writing our story!

Please reach out to us with any questions or comments. You can help craft our story!
Let us know if you are interested and we would be happy to welcome you to one of our flotilla meetings.
