Thank you for your interest in joining U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11-13. Please read the information about the Auxiliary and its mission found on this site and speak to the Flotilla's Human Resources Officer (FSO-HR) to determine if becoming a member is right for you.

In addition to submitting an application with the required documentation, you will need to submit a Boat Safety Certificate (see Boating Courses under Additional Resources on the left, if you need to take a class) and pass the following four FEMA ICS courses below.

FEMA Emergency Management Institute Courses

The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) offers the following free-of-charge, self-paced courses:

  • ICS-100.c: Introduction to Incident Command System,
  • ICS-200.b: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
  • ICS-700.b: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction
  • ICS-800.d: National Response Framework, An Introduction

EMI has implemented electronic certificates for all online test submissions. Upon successful completion, you will receive an email within one business day that confirms your transcript has been updated and a link to create your electronic certificate.
