Program Visitors serve as local area ambassadors for the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary in a recreational boating safety public outreach program. As a Program Visitor, you have an opportunity to:
- Establish good relationships with local area businesses to support boating safety
- Provide free, helpful boating safety literature to PV Partner locations for their customers
- Offer boating safety classes and vessel safety checks to the public
- Educate the boating public to reduce boating accidents, save lives and property
- Bring awareness to federal, state and local boating regulations
- Increase exposure and understanding of Coast Guard and Auxiliary programs and missions
- Provide better understanding of the responsibilities of a boat operator or passenger onboard a boat
- Promote awareness of pollution and marine environmental safety programs
