Program Visitors serve as local area ambassadors for the U.S. Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary in a recreational boating safety public outreach program. As a Program Visitor, you have an opportunity to:

  • Establish good relationships with local area businesses to support boating safety
  • Provide free, helpful boating safety literature to PV Partner locations for their customers
  • Offer boating safety classes and vessel safety checks to the public
  • Educate the boating public to reduce boating accidents, save lives and property
  • Bring awareness to federal, state and local boating regulations
  • Increase exposure and understanding of Coast Guard and Auxiliary programs and missions
  • Provide better understanding of the responsibilities of a boat operator or passenger onboard a boat
  • Promote awareness of pollution and marine environmental safety programs
