My name is Brian Strojny and I am honored to serve as a Flotilla Staff Officer for Flotilla 96 Wiggins Pass. My background is in entrepreneurship and technology. I currently hold a USCG Captains License and run a nonprofit fishing charter for veterans and first-responders. Working with this Flotilla provides a great opportunity to continue learning and enables me to positively impact our flotilla and the local boating community in the areas of safety, prevention and education.
As the FSO-NS (Navigation Systems) I am responsible to Exercise staff supervision and responsibility for chart updating patrols, verification of private aids to navigation and the prompt reporting of discrepancies in aids to navigation. As one of two FSO-R&SS (Rescue & Survival Systems) we are responsible for the care, maintenance, inspection and replacement of flotilla personal protective equipment worn by our operations team. We also submit semiannual inspections to the OTO to ensure that Flotilla PPE is always ready and in good working order.
