Fall 2025 LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
Welcome to the Fall 2025 LDA Series. This unique opportunity will be presented live online and will be hosted by three Districts: CGD-Northeast-North, CGD-Northeast-South and CGD-East-North. Learn tips and ideas on basic leadership topics that will help elected officers lead their units into the future. Each session will be hosted on Zoom (link below) and will last approximately one hour, including an engaging Q&A segment where you can ask questions and share your thoughts. This class, Timelines and Resources answers that question and prepares you to successfully transition into your new leadership position. It covers the procedures that should be accomplished by 15 December 2025 and other items that help you start your year off as FC.

Your January meeting is the time to set the foundation and direction for the rest of the year. For first time officers it will set the impression for the coming year; for returning officers it is the time to improve on your previous year. You will learn about the importance of meeting notices; preparing and following an agenda; conducting a meeting and the importance of Robert’s rules and Standing rules; using your Immediate Past officer, Vice and staff; presenting your budget and goals; and lastly, providing a value-added item that makes it worthwhile for your members to attend meetings.
