 Our Flotilla is proud to introduce the Monofilament Recovery and Recycling Program to our area.

You can find a collection bin at the following locations:

Lake Conroe: 

• Lakeview Marina, Conroe, TX (Bin is located inside their Marina Store)

•  April Plaza Marina, Montgomery, TX (Bin is located inside their Marina Store)

• Stowaway Marina, Lake Conroe, TX (PVC Bin is located at the Boat Dock
  

Bryan/College Station: 

• Lake Bryan, Bryan, TX (PVC Bin is located at the Boat Ramp)

 WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MONOFILAMENT LINE AFTER I PLACE IT IN THE BIN?

• The deposited Monofilament Line will be collected by our Flotilla. Then the line will be removed from any trash, lures, and/or weights. 

• The line will be weighed and sent to Pure Fishing's Recycling Program.  Pure Fishing is the parent company of Berkley.  The data of the weight is sent to the Texas Sea Grant Program for data analysis and grant funding.
  

• Pure Fishing takes the line and recycles it to make Berkley Fish-Habs.  Fish Habs are plastic structures that create underwater habitats for marine life, mostly in lakes and reservoirs.
