Vision (3-5 year)

The Lincoln Flotilla – the best trained, most valued maritime volunteer unit in the district – highly effective during normal operations and ready for emergencies.

Flotilla 2, in Division 33, of the Eighth Western Rivers District, will lead the way afloat and ashore in providing educational programs and services to meet the skills/knowledge needs of the recreational boater and activity sponsors, partner with area marine dealers in disseminating boating safety information, and provide local and state agencies, U.S. Coast Guard, and the boating public with the on-water support necessary for safe and enjoyable boat operation on the lakes, rivers and waterways of our area in an ever changing, marine environment.

Mission

  • To promote and improve Recreational Boating Safety
  • To provide a diverse array of specialized skills, trained crews, and capable facilities to augment the Coast Guard and enhance safety and security of our lakes and waterways
  • To support Coast Guard operational, administrative, and logistical requirements

Guiding Principles
