Boaters Safety Classes at Lake Grapevine

US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-11 offers the "About Boating Safely" Course to the public.  This 8-hour class covers basic legal requirements for boaters, boating safety, elements of boat handling, as well as how to handle some common boating emergencies.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary courses are taught by Coast Guard certified instructors.  This course meets State of Texas requirements for mandatory boater education. Graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion and will have the opportunity to earn a certification from Texas Parks & Wildlife upon successful course completion. 

2024 Boating Safety Flyer and Class Schedule 

The class costs $50 per person and comes with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Certification (required to operate a boat or vessel in TX for anyone born after September 1, 1993).

"Please bring a separate check made out to "Texas Parks and Wildlife" if you would like this Certification".

After completing the course, inform your boat insurance agent and you might qualify for a discount.
