CAROL M WITT - December 25, 2024   -   Joined 13 JUL 1988, Retired 04 DEC 2003

Carol Mae Mary Katherine Goyette Witt, 89, of Fond du Lac, died on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Lakeshore Manor Memory Care of Oshkosh.

She was born on December 25, 1935, in Ripon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leo and Mae Goyette. Carol was a graduate of Ripon Senior High School, Class of 1954. On December 26, 1953, she married David R. Witt, at St. Patrick’s Church in Ripon.

Carol’s career included, Ripon Good Cookie Factory, Ripon Knitting Works, Beer Hut, Osco Drug Store, Tempo, Copp’s Department Store, Montgomery Wards, Pranges and Younkers, where she enjoyed her customers. She was a member of the following: Coast Guard Auxiliary, Fond du Lac Yacht Club, The Nauti Gals, Fond du Lac Boating Club, Fond du Lac Jaycette’s, Fond du Lac Corvette Club, and Fond du Lac Elk’s Club.

Carol was a working mother while raising seven children. Her likes and interests were decorating, especially at Christmas time. She loved to entertain, laugh, and have fun. She was adventurous, enjoying the outdoors, camping, sailing, road rallies and being a Florida snowbird. She loved fashion, dogs, gardening, and ice cream too. Most of all, Carol cherished and loved her family.

She is survived by her children: Teresa Mabee (Bob Rennock) of Fond du Lac, Judith Witt-Sanders (Rex Sanders) of California, Peter Witt (Dawn Gourlie-Witt) of Mayville, Rachelle Groves (Fred Groves) of Texas, Kurt Witt (Jess Witt) of North Fond du Lac, Rueben D. Witt II (Wanda Witt) of Fond du Lac, and Marty Witt (Andrea Witt) of Fond du Lac. She is the matriarch of 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, ten step great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Donna Stahoviak of Arizona, her brothers Jim (Judy) Goyette of Wautoma and Ronald Goyette of Fond du Lac, sister-in-law Evelyn Goyette of Oshkosh, and brother-in-law Robert Witt of Ripon, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, her parents, her sisters: Margaret Winkels, Ceil Janssen, Faye Witt, and Lee Goyette; and her brothers: Robert Goyette and Donald Goyette.

ANTONIO "TONY" PEREZ - August 24, 2023   -   Joined 05 JUN 2001, Retired 13 SEP 2018

Antonio Joseph Perez, of Lexington, KY passed away on August 24, 2023. He was born on February 16, 1934 in Canton, Ohio, to Juan Lopez Perez and Mary Ramos Perez.

Tony was a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering and worked for Chrysler Airtemp, Rexnord and Waste Management before his retirement. He was awarded a patent in 1962 and was a volunteer member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Fond Du Lac, WI.

He is survived by his sister Rocio (Tom) Strohmeyer, brother John (Delores) Perez and sister Juanita Loper. Also survived by his children Kathy (Scott) Riley and Lisa Riegleman; grandchildren Elizabeth Riley (Tyler Caldwell), Andrew Riley (Jessica MacLean), David (Kelly) Riegleman, Sarah Riegleman, and James Riegleman; great-grandson Trace Caldwell; and daughter-in-law Diane Cordingley. Tony was preceded in death by his sisters Mary (Raymond) Perez and Amelia (Enloe) Dietz, and his son Ronald Perez.

Family and friends will be received at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Canton, OH on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin in the church at 11 a.m. Entombment committal service to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Those who wish to make a memorial gift are invited to donate to the charity of their choice.

RAYMOND RANK - September 14, 2025   -   Joined 27 JAN 2006, Retired 18 MAY 2023 

Raymond Frank Rank, age 91, peacefully passed away to join his Savior in the Heavenly Kingdom on September 14, 2025.

Ray was born on November 24, 1933, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Margaret (Walker) Rank. At the age of 8, he moved with his parents and his sister, Beverly (Herb) Dieckmann, to the Plymouth, Wisconsin area. Ray attended grade schools in Waukau, Racine, Plymouth, Little Elkhart Lake, and Mankato, and graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1952.

At the age of 11, Ray became a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah, Wisconsin, where he met his greatest earthly blessing—his wife, Marilyn (Rosenthal). They were united in marriage on July 3, 1954.

Ray led a full and active life, working for over 33 years in machine shops, tool and die, and mechanical drafting. He was a skilled craftsman who remodeled their first home and built their retirement home from the ground up. Ray had a deep love for the water and enjoyed sailing on Lake Michigan. He also helped with boat deliveries on Lake Michigan, the Illinois River, and the Mississippi River. Ray proudly served as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 17 years.

A lover of music, Ray sang in church choirs, choral groups, and performed solos at weddings and funerals. He also taught Sunday school for 11 years and was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America.

Ray and Marilyn were blessed to travel the world, visiting many states in the continental U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as taking cruises to the Caribbean, and traveling to destinations such as Antarctica, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, France (Normandy), Switzerland, and Austria.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn, with whom he shared 71 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Diane (Bill) May, Mary (Brad) Schmidt, David (Mary Burkhart) Rank, Steven (Cathy Barak) Rank, and Rachel (Brian) Klug. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: Ashley Schmidt (Josh Speros), Garrett (Ashlee) Schmidt, Bianca (Hector) Ramos, Aaron (Kira) Rank, Molly (Kevin) Curtis, Elizabeth (Thomas) Schodron, and Elyssa (Brad) Gutschow. His great-grandchildren, Penelope, Eloise, and Finnley Schmidt, Maxwell Speros, as well as Lanie, Aubrey, and Oliver Rank, who will also carry his memory in their hearts.  He is further survived by a sister, Beverly Dieckmann; a brother-in-law, Marlon Mehre; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua David Rank.

Ray’s legacy of faith, love, and service to others will live on in the lives of his family and all who knew him.

A funeral service for Ray will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, September 20 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah with Rev. Don Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in the Greenbush Cemetery.  Family and friends may visit at the church, 200 Main Street, Glenbeulah on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service at 12 Noon.

Memorials in Ray’s name may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Ray’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the nursing staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and the staff at Lakehouse in Sheboygan.
