Dear US Coast Guard Auxiliary Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. We are an all-volunteer uniformed service that assists the regular and reserve members of the US Coast Guard in carrying out many of their missions. You can find auxiliary members performing a variety of missions, on the water (boating  safety patrols, classes, and vessel checks), in the air (primarily assisting with search and rescue and environmental patrols) or responding in the case of natural disasters, i.e., Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Ian in the air, on the water or in Incident Command Centers.

Flotilla 06-05 is one of the largest auxiliary flotillas in the country. Founded in 1942, we assist the Coast Guard and serve the boating community primarily in Southeastern Massachusetts.

We meet monthly, on the fourth Wednesday at 19:00 – 20:00 (7-8pm) at: 

Acushnet River Safe Boating Club – 80 Middle Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719

There are several steps to becoming a member of the Auxiliary:  Candidates must:

• complete an application,
• pass a Federal background/security check
• pass a New Member exam, and 
• pay annual dues. (prorated between $82 & $142).
