The Auxiliary's primary mission is recreational boating safety, or RBS. But RBS is a coordinated effort. The B-Directorate Outreach Liaison Division liaises with federal, state, and local entities, and a number of private corporations and organizations, to work together in a concerted effort.

We have partnered with governmental agencies, like the Army Corps of Engineers, and nongovernmental organizations, such as the National Safe Boating Council. Private nonprofit partners include United States Power Squadrons, the American Canoe Association and BoatUS. We also have partners in industry, like B.A.S.S. LLC and Orion Industries.
