Training Idea Leads to Fall Conference in Oswego, NY
With sequestration limiting Coast Guard and Auxiliary budgets, Division 2 leadership decided to plan its own fall training experience with boat crew operations in Oswego Harbor, including bringing Auxiliary patrol boats through the locks. Conversations with Ninth District Eastern Region leadership led to planning both on-the-water and classroom sessions at Coast Guard Station Oswego and the Quality Inn & Suites -- and with the District having a venue to hold staff/board meetings, and elections.
