Activity Codes

99A Auxiliary Leadership

Report all time spent by elected and appointed staff performing
National, District, Division and Flotilla position duties. This includes
all time spent for preparation and travel for these duties.

 

99B Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Support

Report all time spent in RBS Support that is not otherwise reported
on a 7030, 7038, 7039, or 7046. This includes all time for preparation
and travel in support of missions reported on 7030, 7038, and 7046.


99C Marine Safety (MS) Support

Report all time spent in MS Support that is not otherwise reported
on a 7030 or 7038. This includes all time for preparation and travel in
support of Marine Safety, Marine Environmental Protection, Commercial
Fishing Vessel, Uninspected Passenger Vessels, and Uninspected Towing
Vessles.


99D Training Support

Report all time spent in Training Support that is not otherwise
reported on a 7030 or 7039. Any hours spent as a Trainee, other than
attending a workshop, should be reported here. This includes all time
for preparation, study, homework, and travel regardless of the level of
training.


99E Auxiliary Administrative/Logistical Support

Report all time spent for the Auxiliary and Coast Guard Support
missions not otherwise reported on any other form or any other Mission
Code above. Include all time working on committees or attending meetings
(if you are not an elected or staff officer). This includes all time
for preparation and travel

 

Miles

This is any miles that you put on your vehicle traveling to and from meetings or training that you do not get reimbursed for.

Expense

This is any expense that you have while preforming you duties that you do not get reimbursed for.

 

Mission Codes

Mission Codes that are used on a 7030

Most commonly used Mission Codes for our Flotilla.                                        If a code is not listed please refer to the complete list of Mission Codes, or contact FSO-IS Lilian Revor.

1. Coast Guard Operational Support

07A - Watchstanding

Use for any missions that is at a Coast Guard Station or Sector other than Radio Watch (for Radio Watch use Mission Code 20b).


07D - Coast Guard Operational Support

Any CG Support mission not other shown, including but not limited
to, Officer of the Day Duties, Logistics Support, Area Familiarization
by a non-facility, Front and Analysis. Use this code to report time
spent working at CG ANT Units and DPW. Exception: For MS or MEP CG Support use 70C


20B - Radio Watchstanding/Net

Hours spent as a qualified watchstander at a Coast Guard or
Auxiliary fixed land radio station, when specifically requested by the
Coast Guard. Wearing a beeper is not reportable. Only one operator is
reportable per radio. Also, report any time on an authorized Auxiliary
Radio Net.


22B - Operations Training (Qualifications)

Hours spent underway on training missions involving surface/air operations, by coxswains, pilots, and crew, who are NOT IT
qualified, which are not otherwise reportable as a Safety Patrol, CG
Operational Support, or Member Training mission. (Ref. 01A, 06AM 06B, or
CG Operational Support)


22C - Instructor for Coast Guard Courses

Hours spent as an instructor for any Coast Guard Active Duty,
Civilian, or Reserve Course. All instructors must be fully qualified as
an Auxiliary Instructor. If there is one (1) Auxiliarist in the class you have to use form 7039.


22D - Sector Coordinator

Hours spent in performing the duties of an Auxiliary Sector
Coordinator (ASC). There is only one per Sector. This is not to be used
by the Auxiliary Unit Coordinator (AUC).


26 - Coast Guard Crew Augmentation

Hours spent serving as a qualified crew member on a Coast Guard, not Auxiliary, vessels or aircraft. All time is reported on any line other than "LEAD"

2. Public Affairs Missions

10A - Collateral Development

Time spent developing and creating articles, posters, web page
content, ads, etc... (Members that are Communication Services for
submitting your time for web site maintenance use mission code 10D. This
is just for members that are writing or creating items.).

10B - Speeches/Talks

Time spent researching and delivering a talk to a group. (i.e.: If
you are giving a talk about boating safety to a local boating club.)

10C - Broadcast Media

Time spent researching, writing, and participating, including
interview, for a radio, TV, or internet broadcast. (i.e.: Member is
asked and okayed to do an interview with the local News Station about
National Safe Boating Week.)

10D - Web Maintenance

Time spent researching, developing, altering or updating a USCG or CGAUX web site, or respsonding to web inquiries. (This is used by Communication Services Officers only. If you are helping out then you use Mission Code 10A.)

10E - USCG PA Augmentation

Time spent augmenting active duty public affairs activities at USCG
Headquarters, a Joint Information Center (JIC), District, PADET, PIAT, a
Sector, Station USCG Vessel and/or other venues or activities.

10F - Printed Media

Time spent researching, writing, taking photographs, developing relationships and working with magazines, newspapers. (This is used by the Public Affairs Officers only. If you have helping out then use Mission Code 10A.)

10H - New Media

Time spent using New Media (social media, i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc..) for Active Duty or the Auxiliary.

10J - Comrel

Time spent conducting Boat Shows, Coastie visits, NSBW, color guard activities, parades, VSC blitz,
and similar events. Any time there is a both set-up or you are in the
public at a Public Affairs event this is the Mission Code that you use.

10K - Other PA Projects

Time spent on other Public Affairs promotion or project/activity that is not listed.

10L - Publications/Member Communications

Time spent researching, writing, editing, and publishing on-line or
printed Auxiliary publications, including, newsletters, magazines, web
content, WIKI's, blogs, etc... (If you are the Communication Services Officer then you use Mission Code 10D.)

3. Navigation Systems

30 - ATON-Federal

Hours spent by a Certified Aid Technician "NE" servicing Federal Short Range ATONs and Lighthouses. It
also includes the hours spent and the activity of checking and
reporting any Federal Short Range aid at the direct request of any Coast
Guard Unit. The hours spent and the discrepancies on
any Federal aid casually observed and reported by any Auxiliarist to the
Coast Guard are included as part of this mission. Time spent while on
an authorized patrol is not reported as part of this mission.

31 - PATON-Private

Hours spent on verifying and reporting all Private Short Range Aids
to Navigation by a certified and qualified Aid Verifier "AV" at the direction of the Coast Guard (dwp) or any ANT Unit,
including the reporting of all Non-Permitted PATONs. The hours spent
casually observing and report any discrepancies on any private aids to
the Coast Guard by and Auxiliarist are included as part of this mission.
Time spent while on an authorized patrol is not reported as part of
this mission.

32 - Bridge Administration

Hours spent on observing and reporting on bridge discrepancies and
on doing bridge surveys. This hours spent and descrepancies on the
bridge casually observed and reported to the Coast Guard by any
Auxiliarist are included as part of this mission. Time spent while on an
authorized patrol is not reported as part of this mission.

4. Recruiting


90A - Coast Guard Partners Program

Hours spent in recruitment of the public into the Coast Guard
Academy, exclusive of AIM support. Report all hours preforming public
appearances in support of the Coast Guard Academy. This includes all
hours spent coordinating logistics for students to report to the Coast
Guard Academy as a cadet. When performing a mission outside your home or office, it must be performed in proper uniform.

90B - Active Duty/Reserve/Officer Candidate School (OCS) Recruiting

Hours spent performing activity directly relating to the recruitment
of the public into the Coast Guard, i.e., Active Duty or Reserve
Enlistment, or enrollment in OCS.

90C - Auxiliary Recruiting

Hours spent performing activity directly related to the recruitment
of Auxiliary members into the Coast Guard Auxiliary. This includes time
spent interviewing or counseling in person or by phone.


5. Other Mission Codes

 

92 - AUXDATA Entry

Hours spent entering data into AUXDATA as an FSO/SO-IS authorized
user. Time spent entering data, as a DIRAUX or National user should be
reported as category 08, CG Administrative Support.
