AUXData II tips, tricks, and gotcha's

Tue, 26 May 20   Posted by: Thornton Dyson

I will be working on a page dedicated to the Aviation sections of AUXdata II. But for now, as I use the new system, I am going to document any tips and tricks that I find here.

AUXdata II will be evolving fairly fast as the bugs are worked out of the new system - Ted

  Tips and Tricks

  1. When completing your orders after a mission, don't fill out engine time until the end.
    1. Need to add activities first or you get an error
  2. Have to edit the each crew in each activity to add the meal expenses. Because they don't default based on the activity times you need to properly select which meals are appropriate.
    1. Meal times are:
      1. Breakfast - 0400-0800
      2. Lunch - 1000-1400
      3. Dinner - 1600- 2000
      4. Mid Rations - 2200-2359
  3.  When filling out an Activity, you can change the start/stop times to be exactly what you did.
    1. Double click the default entry and LEAVE THE CURSOR OVER THE SELECTED NUMBER
    2. Enter the correct number into the field via your keyboard
    3. move the cursor to the next field
  4. When Signing the orders you need to save after each "signing"
    1. If you just check both boxes the 2nd one does not seem to take.  At least you don't get a date/time box.
    2. so the procedure for completing the orders is
      1. check the Operator signature box ==> Save
      2. check the Claimant signature box ==> Save
      3. Change the Status box to "completed" ==> Save
  5. Password's need to be changed every 90 days.
    1. you will be required to change it after 90 days
    2. I think you will be prompted a couple of weeks earlier
  6. DO NOT EXCEED 180 DAYS between log-ins.  after 180 days you need to contact your FSO-IS to submitt a ticket to get your ID reactivated.
  7. A PDF version of the "activating your AuxData ii ID" presentation is here <https://wow.uscgaux.info/content.php?unit=081-06-12&category=aom-information>
