Division 18 Member Training
Training is an essential activity for the Auxiliary. For many of us, access to advanced training was one of the reasons we joined.

APC and AFLC Courses
ALAUX 013/24 promulgated a rule change that requires members seeking elected office after January 1, 2025 to complete the Auxiliary Administrative Procedures Course (APC) and either the Auxiliary Flotilla Leadership Course (AFLC) or the AUXLAMS course to be eligible for elected office.
The AFLC and APC are entry-level leadership courses and members have the opportunity to test out of these courses by simply taking and passing the course exam. This is particularly helpful for leaders who have not completed either or both of these courses, but who have direct Auxiliary leadership experience by virtue of holding an appointed or elected office.
For those who require one or both of these courses, my recommendation is to take the appropriate course exam. This is the easiest way to satisfy the training requirement for elected office.
To Complete the AFLC Course Exam:
- Navigate to the National Testing Center (https://ntc.cgaux.org/).
- Click Take a Test in the left navigation window
- Log in using your Member Zone credentials
- Select the FLC-O exam and click Start Test on the next screen that appears
- The AFLC exam is open book and consists of 50 questions. You’ll have three hours to complete the exam. Passing score is 80%.
To Complete the APC Course Exam:
- Navigate to the APC course in the Moodle online classroom using the following link: https://classroom2.cgaux.org/moodle/enrol/index.php?id=7
- Enroll in the APC course and review the materials. The APC exam can be accessed at the bottom of the course page.
- The APC exam is open book and consists of 40 questions. You’ll have three hours to complete the exam. Passing score is 90%. Questions for the APC exam are drawn from the Auxiliary Manual, which can be accessed here: https://wow.uscgaux.info/content.php?unit=H-DEPT&category=auxiliary-manuals
Once your completion of both the APC and AFLC courses is recorded, AuxData should show you as eligible to run for elected office.
