Public Education Course Flyer: SSS - Boating Safety

The Seamanship Seminar Series are six short seminars on the subjects of. Boating Safety, Inland Boating, lines and knots, Powering Your Boat, Weather and Boating, and Your Boat’s Radio. Each seminar is scheduled for two hours. The instructors invite discussions and questions. There may be a quiz at the end; however, it serves only as an aid to the attendees to determine how well they understood the seminar.

The textbook is an e-book that’s downloaded after being purchased from the flotilla that sponsors the course.

Boating Safety

This seminar is Boating Safety, where the topics include – boat stability; personal watercraft (PFDs); drowning and hypothermia; survival in water; operator responsibilities; sailing skills, mooring; anchoring, and carbon monoxide exposure.
