Iolani School event with Admiral at DML on June 3, 2015

There's going to be an Iolani School children's group coming to the Diamond Head Light-house event on Wednesday 6-3-15, between 9-11 (2 Hrs), which will entail the usual tour of the lighthouse with the kids and parents during this time.

The new Admiral will probably be there to greet the kids at this time. As per usual, the 3 things that we will be doing are:

1. Life Vest Fittings and the virtues of wearing them.
2. The King of Knots event.
3. The line toss to save lives event.

We will probably have the opportunity to meet the New Admiral and spouse. Every Admiral that I have met at the lighthouse event has not forgotten ever, to greet us by name, and as I recall, Admiral Sally Brice had us over for a great evening Division Christmas party where I brought the jazz band, and Admiral Brown had me set the terms of partnersip with the CG, Auxiliary, and Power Squadrons. They remember who comes to the lighthouse.

COOP Exercises at Sector from June 1 to 4, 2015

Sector Honolulu has a need for assistance with the COOP exercise for those looking for ICS experience in the following positions: Resource Unit Leader, Documentation, Demob, Logs Section Chief, Finance Sec Chief and Liaison Officer as well.

They are running a ICS Training Monday at CIC and a full scale COOP exercise next week Tuesday - Thursday at Red Hill and could use the assistance with command post staffing. They also have ICS coaches and qualified personnel available to sign off PQS.

AUXLAMS at Sector from June 11 to 14, 2015

AUXLAMS Honolulu is quickly approaching!

Unfortunately we haven't filled the requisite 11 seats of no-cost (local) orders and my fear is that if we don't fill those seats, it will be VERY difficult to justify any other c-schools in District Fourteen in the future - this is NOT the message we want to send!

Division 1: please put the word out to your flotilla commanders to rally the troops and try to fill the seats. We have 11 seats to fill. We desperately want to provide District Fourteen the best training available and we need your help now to help us make this happen in the future.

Please have any interested Division 1 members e-mail a short term training request (attached) to d14aux@uscg.mil to enroll in AUXLAMS.
