The Coast Guard Auxiliary Marine Safety program is designed to facilitate and encourage Auxiliary support for Coast Guard Sectors in the legacy Marine Safety and Environmental Protection Programs. 
 
 
 In the marine domain, the United States Coast Guard has been mandated by Congress to be be in charge of these two important missions.

 America's Waterway Watch (AWW), a combined effort of the Coast Guard and its Reserve and Auxiliary components, continues to grow, enlisting the active participation of those who live, work  play around America's waterfront areas.
