WE NEED YOU!

ARE YOU READY TO SERVE YOUR COUNTRY? ARE YOU A LEADER?

Join the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bring us your skills or join to develop
your leadership skills through our numerous free classes and workshops. There is
no age limit, other than being at least seventeen years old.

Being a member of this 75-year old volunteer organization is patriotic and brings a
sense of pride that comes with being part of the United States Coast Guard.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was established by Congress in 1939 to assist the
Coast Guard in promoting boating safety. It boasts more than 25,000 members nationwide from
all walks of life who receive special training of their choice and at their time constraints so that
they may be a functional part of the U. S. Coast Guard Forces. Auxiliarists assist the Coast
Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as:

Safety Patrols

Search and Rescue

Vessel Safety Checks

Public Safe Boating Classes

Maritime Security

Watchstanding at CG Stations
