CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING A MEMBER OF OUR FLOTILLA! 

On behalf of our Flotilla Commander, Joseph Morris; Vice Flotilla Commander, Edward Little, and the rest of our team, welcome to Flotilla 5-12!  We are excited that you have joined a very involved group of volunteers in the District 11 area of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.  You are in great company!

 The auxiliary is composed of dedicated and well-trained volunteers who donate their time and expertise to support the US Coast Guard in all its assigned missions, with the exception of direct law enforcement and military operations. 

Our primary missions include promoting and supporting recreational boating safety, assisting in search and rescue, verifying buoys and beacons, conducting public education classes, working with marine dealers, and performing vessel safety examinations. 

We also participate in local parades and other water safety related events and activities. 

As there is a lot to learn within the first few days, months and, sometimes, even years of joining the auxiliary, we have provided links that we hope will help you become familiar with the organization and guide you through the steps necessary to assist in your success.  We look forward to serving side by side with you as we enjoy friendship and fellowship with one another.
