THIS IS WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer branch of the United States Coast Guard. It was established by Congress in 1939 as the United States Coast Guard Reserve and was re-designated the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in 1941.  It exists to support all USCG missions, except in roles that require "direct" law enforcement or military engagement.  Its main mission includes promoting and improving recreational boating safety, providing trained crews and facilities to augment the Coast Guard and enhance safety and security of all ports, waterways, and coastal regions, and supporting the Coast Guard operational, administrative, and logistical requirements.

As of 2018, we are approximately 24,000 members strong.

Our motto is "Semper Paratus (Always Ready)"

If helping save lives, protecting the environment from polluters, and guarding our shores from terrorists, and much more, excite you, be a part of the action and come join our team!
