USCG Auxiliary Dockwalker Training and Vessel Safety Checks--March 2019
21 March 2019-- Dockwalker training takes place at Coast Guard Station Monterey. The class is taught by Vivian Matuk, the Environmental Boating Coordinator for the State of California.

March 2019-- Vessel Safety Checks (VFCs) being completed at Monterey
Bay Kayaks. Kayaks are considered “vessels” on the ocean, and are
inspected like any other recreational watercraft.

March 2019--More Monterey Bay Kayaks being inspected by USCG
Auxiliary Vessel Examiners. After completing the inspection, each
vessel will be given a decal that certifies compliance and is good
for one year.
