AuxAir: Aux-17 Completed at the Coast Guard Island, Alameda!

As part of completing their pilot and observer/aircrew qualifications for Auxiliary aviation, on the weekend of June 8 and 9, 2019, five members of Division 6 journeyed to Coast Guard Island in Alameda to complete the AUX-17 Crew Resource Management training required for all pilots and crews. While there was much information to be covered over the two days of training, it was all very useful, and the class was taught by two very experienced Auxiliary aviators, one of whom is a corporate pilot and manages the flight department for a large company, and one who supervises all 1,700 inspectors for the FAA. Thus, Division 6 trainees were in very good hands! With this training completed, the Division 6 branch of District 11NR AUXAIR is a big step closer to becoming fully operational.
