RFO 2014

Ready for Operations (RFO) Training Day

RFO Training Days are usually held at the beginning of the boating season.  Most of the day is spent on the water practicing and reviewing our on-the-water skills and techniques used to assist recreational boaters.  These include man-overboard drills, towing drills, boat-handling skills, navigational skills, and search and rescue drills.

Active duty Coast Guard usually attend to assist and critique our drills and skills.  Local partners, such as Fire Departments, DNR, and Sheriff Lake Patrol also participate with their boats on occasion.  This year, Madison Fire participated in some towing drills.
