What We Do:

Thanks to people in the area, our flotilla has seen a tremendous growth in membership.  We are actively engaged in all kinds of things that might interest you covering four cornerstones of activity. Public Education, Courtesy Vessel Exams, Marine Environmental Safety, Marine Dealer Visitation Programs and active presence on the areas waterways.

Who Are We:

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 092-06-05 serves the area in and around Huron/Sandusky Ohio.  This is an all volunteer civilian organization serving the needs of the boating public in the areas of public education, vessel safety inspections, and on water patrols.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was established by Congress in June, 1939, to assist the Coast Guard in promoting boating safety. It is composed of nearly 35,000 members from all walks of life who are drawn together by their love of the water and a willingness to serve other boaters. Its members receive special training so that they may be an intergal part of Team Coast Guard.

Auxiliarists assist the Coast Guard in non-law-enforcement programs such as public education, safety patrols, search and rescue, marine environmental protection, and Coast Guard Academy introduction programs for youth.  Auxiliary members volunteer approximately two million hours annually to benefit other boaters and their families.

Please Join Us:

You are invited to visit our monthly Flotilla meeting. These meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7 p.m. and located at the Huron Yacht Club in Huron Ohio.

Our Flotilla is always looking for new members to volunteer and make a difference in our communities. We proudly support the Coast Guard and we encourage you to join us to do the same. Please feel free to contact us at Bpfahl@aol.com for more information about the Auxiliary.

We look forward to meeting you – "Semper Paratus!" (Always ready)
