AUXCHEF Now AUXFS

The AUXCHEF program has been renamed the Auxiliary Food Services (AUXFS) program, with the title of the qualification changed to Auxiliary Food Service Specialist (AUXFS).

Auxiliary food service specialists may provide support at Coast Guard dining facilities.

The June 7th announcement by the Coast Guard also addressed the AUXFS health record verification requirements, noting that all current Auxiliary food service specialists need to have their qualification records updated by Oct. 1, 2013.

Food service personnel medical screening and Hepatitis A vaccine series may be obtained at Coast Guard clinics.
