A totally all-done-for-you program, where you may download and edit all items, that is sure to grow your PE attendance (as it has for ours) while providing you access to the many community resources easily within your reach: This ABS assembly program has been created as an "entrée' for you into your local middle schools" providing a most valuable 50 minute program for "About Water And Safe Boating." Upon delivering this program, this presents the perfect opportunity to advertise (PUBLICIZE - Your PA EVENT!) your PE, PV and VE programs and build attendance. These middle school children are incredibly motivated and eager to attend you ABS classes so they may obtain their Safe Boating Certificate (most states offer this at the age of 12, a rite of passage for these teens) and the real benefit for their attending is that they normally bring their older siblings and adults with them. This then becomes a major PA event as you now have developed your AUDIENCE, growing your PE program, your VE program and it also may serve as a recruiting tool. I openly share with you that our Lansing, Michigan Flotilla grew our ABS (Safe Boating Class) attendance easily by 48-49 % in 2011 from this program when presented at our area middle schools.

This all-done-for-you program! You will be able to download all elements of this program so that you may replicate it or edit, customizing this for a myriad of presentation opportunities be it:

  • Civic organizations;
  • Yacht clubs;
  • Boy Scouts;
  • Girl Scouts;
  • Professional organizations;
  • Church groups and
  • Unlimited other groups interested in boating safety

This program presents you will all the tools, sample communications (letters and e-mails), a sample press release, information to share with you PV partners (whom you ask to donate gift certificates for children to redeem for free life jackets) and suggested equipment needed to properly present this program as well.
