A Vessel Safety Check (VSC) is a free, yearly inspection done of your boat, by a trained specialist of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. These inspectors verify the presence and condition of required equipment, as well as the overall safety of the vessel. It is important to note that the Vessel Safety Checks are no fault examinations - meaning absolutely no citations will be issued. The number one priority is identifying and correcting potential safety hazards.
