BOSN2 Matthew Rogers was born in Pensacola Florida and raised in Western Maryland before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in August of 1994. He has served aboard the following U.S. Navy Units during his eight year tenure in the service: USS JARRETT (FFG-33), San Diego CA, as a Deck Supervisor, VBSS team member, and Landing Signalman Enlisted; and Beachmaster Unit One, Coronado CA. In July of 2002 he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. His units to present in the Coast Guard are as follows: USCGC DILIGENCE (WMEC-616), Wilmington , NC as Deck Supervisor, and Pursuit Coxswain; CG Station Wrightsville Beach, NC as Operations Petty Officer, and Tactical Coxswain; Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT), Chesapeake VA as a Boat Team Leader, and Advanced Interdiction Coxswain; Deputy Commandant for Operations – International Division, CGHQ Washington D.C. as a Deployable Maritime Advisor; Maritime Safety and Security Team – San Diego (MSST San Diego 91109) as a Boat Team Leader, and Advanced Interdiction Coxswain. Chief Warrant Officer Rogers is currently serving as the D8-WR Auxiliary Operations Training Officer, St. Louis, MO.
