Welcome to the Division 16, District 8ER Web Site

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed auxiliary service of the United States Coast Guard.  It is comprised of 26,000 members who volunteer their time to support the operation of the Coast Guard, promote and improve recreational boating safety, and provide trained crews and facilities to enhance the safety and security of US ports, waterways, and coastal regions.

The Auxiliary is divided into sixteen Districts. These Districts consist of multiple Divisions. The most basic organizational unit is the Flotilla. Division 16 (Eighth District, Eastern Region) is comprised of three Flotillas (16-02, 16-05, and 16-07). Across the Division you will find members who are involved in various USCG Auxiliary missions: culinary services, boat surface operations, vessel examiners, program visitors, teaching About Boating Safely courses, and some who serve at the District and National levels.

Division 16 is located in Eastern Tennessee. We serve the Tennessee River (and surrounding areas) from Watts Bar Dam (mm 530) and Nickajack Dam (mm 425).

Interested in joining the Auxiliary? Guests are welcome at our monthly meeting. If you are interested in learning more about how the USCG Auxiliary works as a force multiplier for the US Coast Guard, or how our Division serves the boating community in our operational area, please contact us! You don’t have to own a boat, or want to be on the water to get involved in supporting the mission of the USCG Auxiliary!
