William Welty Flotilla Commander 11-07 2017

William is Public Safety Professional working in the field for the last 20 years, currently he is employed by the City of Clarksville a Security, Loss Prevention, Health and Safety Supervisor. Also at this time William serves with the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service as a District Captain & Safety Officer at Saint Bethlehem Fire & Rescue.

He holds many state certifications for Armed Security Officers, Firefighting, Emergency Medical Responder and Swift Water Rescue. William is a TEMA Certified Hazardous Materials Technician. Here are some of the numerous awards over his 20 years in Public Safety starting with the most recent Mayors Certificate for Life Saving in June 2016, Chief of Police Certificate for work with The Clarksville Police Youth Coalition from 2010 thru 2016.

William is a member of the USCG Auxiliary here in Clarksville. Some of the awards and Certificates he has received are Flotilla Auxiliarist of the Year 2014, Division 11 Commanders Award for Recreational Boating and Dealer Program Visitor 2015, Division 11 Commanders Award for Vessel Safety Examiner 2015 and 2016.

Rankings William has achieved in the Auxiliary are Boat Crew, Vessel Examiner, Public Education Instructor, Recreational Boating and Dealer Program Visitor and is only one of 2 Marine Environmental Education Specialists in Division 11, Eastern Region.

He also holds a degree and multiple Certificates and Certifications in Homeland Security & Public Safety.
