Interested in a US Coast Guard Auxiliary's Vessel Safety Inspection for your vessel?
Safety is paramount when you're on the water, and we're here to help ensure that your vessel meets all the necessary federal and state requirements for a safe and secure nautical journey.
Our volunteer team of dedicated and experienced inspectors are ready to provide you with a detailed inspection of your vessel, ensuring that it is sea or lake ready and compliant with all safety regulations. The
inspection is comprehensive and covers a wide array of safety checks including but not limited to:
- - Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs)
- - Visual Distress Signals (VDS)
- - Fire Extinguishers
- - Navigation Lights
- - Ventilation
- - Backfire Flame Control
- - Sound producing devices/bells
- - Overall vessel condition
Remember, these inspections are not just to ensure you meet the necessary requirements, but they are to keep you and your passengers safe and secure on the lakes or at sea.
If your vessel successfully passes the inspection, you'll receive a U.S. Coast Guard / Auxiliary Decal to display on your vessel, showing everyone aboard and other mariners that your boat is in full compliance with all federal and state safety requirements.
Please note that the inspections are completely voluntary, and there are no penalties if your vessel doesn't pass. If there are any deficiencies found, our inspectors will provide guidance and resources to help you fix them, ensuring your vessel becomes safer and compliant.
