                              Coast Guard Auxiliary Uniforms

An Auxiliarist needs an Operational Dress Uniform (ODU) to wear when serving as boat crew or doing vessel exams. Please refer to chapter 10 in the Auxiliary Manual for specific uniform information. You may also find uniform information at

You must purchase the trousers, shirt and ODU from the Uniform Distribution Center (UDC) . At the UDC site, click on UDC stock book. Check the fitting guide before ordering—the sizing is not what you are used to with civilian clothes. You will purchase auxiliary-specific items from the Auxiliary Center (AUXCEN) using the link below. Before you can purchase items from AUXCEN, you will need to log on to e-directory to register.

Operational Dress Uniform (ODU)

Select ODU Uniforms
Order the coat, trousers, and blue T-shirt. You MUST wear the blue t-shirt under the ODU coat.  If planning to blouse trousers, you should order a longer length than you usually wear.
