A few things to get started:

First, if you haven't already you will need to take the boating safety course, it is a requirement of all USCG Auxiliary Members.

Secondly there are two Incident Command System courses that should be completed ICS 100 and ICS 700. 

They are available on the FEMA web site at the following links

Forms that will need to be completed and required documents:

 -a7001 Application                                                                                                                                           -Copy of Boater Safety Course Certificate                                                                                                         -Copy of Birth Certificate(does not need to be a certified copy photo copy is acceptable)

Once your application is processed there are BQII (basic qualified) and Core Training Courses that will need to be completed. You will have access to the USCG testing center to take this once all your paperwork is processed and member number issued.
