Signage Projects

This project is to produce posted signs throughout public and private water way access points.

Signs contain information that convey USCG support of Marine environment safety and enjoyment.

Our mission is to achieve public confidence and trust the USCG and associated agencies are present and ready to serve.

  Time table of the project

 

Janurary 2021    Flotilla meeting proposal of project

Feburary - March  Flotilla project acceptance multiple drafts design research.

April - May  USCG Sector Mobile review authorization.

June - July Permissions research.  Verification of signage information to handle additional traffic.

August - October   Flotilla approval out to bid for production.  Bid accepted. Funding approved

November - December  Signage delivered.  Postings of signs.

The graphic of the sign layout content and information should not be altered but for one item.  The sector logo may be changed to reflect your appropriate USCG sector.  And you must notify that sector of your intentions in doing so. 

The sign is of following make.   12” x 18” signs, .080 aluminum, single sided with rounded corners.  Quantities of 20 to 40 are ~25.00 ea.  See graphic below for example.

 Posting signs.  We contacted municipal, county, state agencies to obtain authorization.  We could not locate stated rules, procedures or designate authorities for public access sites pertaining to posting USCG informational content.  While posting signs we do represent the USCG.  We do contact and obtain permission from local private harbor masters and fixed base operators prior to posting at private locations.  See example below of a private posting at Marina.
